Recycled Ribbon Necklace

November 26, 2008 by Deanna

I had this swimsuit I loved but when I put it in the dryer the clasp got stuck in the side of the dryer and ripped clean off. I was so disappointed! It had a silver circle detail on the front so I cut it out thinking I could use it for something.

Today I figured out what I wanted to use it for ~ A Necklace!

I had some black ribbon with white stitching on the sides and decided to pull the ribbon through the ring and tie a bow at the back of my neck. I kept the ribbon length long so it could be used for other things. I loved the way the ties looked hanging down my back on the outside of my sweater.

I am now looking for other items around the house or in my junk drawer that I could combine with other items to make jewelry.
