I have been so impressed with my youngest daughters concern about the environment. The other night I asked her where her night light was and she said, “I unplugged it so that it wouldn’t waste energy”. I am figuring out that she is listening even when I think she isn’t. I had unplugged all the appliances in the kitchen and my husband was getting frustrated because he had to keep plugging everything in. I was explaining to him how it saves energy. I guess she heard that and thought of what she could do.
Not only is energy a concern but she is constantly telling people she is recycling by wearing clothes from thrift stores. Although this goes over fine with adults, its not always what kids at school think is cool. So she has been struggeling with that part of it. And as a mother, I am trying to find a balance for her.
The other day she put on this outfit on our way to take the dog for a walk and she looked so cute. She looked at me and said ” I wore this for you mom!”. She knew I loved the jacket, I found it at a thrift store when she wasn’t with me, she loved it, wore it once and then never wore it again. I wonder what someone said? The jeans are so cute, holy Gap jeans along with the little dress. I loved how she put these together with her brown boots. She has such great fashion sense!
