Vinegar – the Wonder Cleaner!

I live in a land where chemicals are used for everything, it literally makes me sick sometimes if I let myself think about it. But today I realized that even though I might not be able to change this countries way of doing things, there is something I can do with what I use in my own house. I was running out of cleaning supplies and honestly I didn’t want to buy anymore, the amount a bottle of floor cleaner costs is outrageous, so I started looking up recipes for cleaners and found that vinegar can be an amazing all-purpose cleaner. I am so excited to try this.

Here are two website that I found that were great help to me; love to know and the new homemaker.

One recipe for soft scrub that I found and works wonders is:

1/4 cup baking soda

1 tablespoon dish soap

and enough vinegar to make a past(about an 1/8 cup)

I will always have to buy dish soap and bleach to clean my dishes and produce but getting rid of some of the big polluter is a step in the right direction.

Hi! I read the first part of your blog and was excited to write to help and then you finished with exactly what I was going to write! I only use vinegar and water and hydrogen peroxide and water for cleaning everything in our home. The hydrogen peroxide can be mixed 1/2 water, 1/2 peroxide and also, I use it full strength for counter tops, toilets, etc. I have spray bottles for each solution. They’re much cheaper and safer than chemicals and safer too!. Love your blog.

I started using distilled vinegar & water solutions in the kitchen. I was using a dilute bleach & water solution since I was canning frequently and wanted to make sure everything was sanitary but I do dislike any unnecessary chemicals.

I’m enjoying reading back through your blog!
