12 Days of DIY Christmas ~ Day 11 ~ Ruffle Note Cards

I had so much fun making these. I love sending letters, so its great when I have fun note cards like these to send. And the best part is that they did not take a lot of time or talent, super easy and super cute!

Supplies:

~Coordinating Fabric

~Sewing Machine

~Note Cards and Envelopes

~Scissors

1. Cut 2 strips of fabric double the length of your note card, one 2″ width and one 6″ width.

2. Gather your 6″ width fabric on top of your note card and then gather the 2″ width piece on top of that.

3. Sew straight down the middle using a zig zag stitch. Don’t forget to back stitch at the beginning and end. Holding it in place while sewing can be tough.

Bundle them in sets of 4 and you have a great little gift to give along with some of these or these.

Enjoy!

I do something unusual every year for my Christmas cards, and have been told that my cards are the ones saved and brought back out year after year. (One year we used fusible web to iron Christmas tree triangles onto the cards, then decorated with buttons and other sewing notions.)

This is a great idea to continue my tradition of something unusual … and it would use up a bunch of my fabric scraps, too. Thanks!
