DIY Easy Flower Brooch
I found this 100% silk shirt at the pound(Goodwill – where you pay by the pound) and totally tore it apart. I started playing with the super soft silk and rolling in all directions and came up with these cute grouping of three flowers. I pulled out some old chain I had and connected it to the middle of one of the flowers for a more sparkly, come hither, look. I attached them to a piece of felt and sewed a pin on the back. It was super easy! I love the way it looks on my gray tweed jacket.
I am going to start putting my products that I make on Etsy, but would love to know if people would even like to buy what I put out there. Let me know what you think?

You are so creative! I should try Goodwill, didn’t know they sell by the pound. Thanks!
I love your stuff, definitely try Etsy. It doesn’t cost anything to start a sellers account and it is only 20 cents per listing per 4 months. I’m new to Etsy, but I’m really enjoying being the part of the community. Hope to see you there. Let me know your store address if you decide to join.
Good luck
I love your stuff too! I am thinking of trying etsy but I can’t decide if it’s right for me. I don’t know if anyone would buy my stuff either. I guess will never know if we don’t try, right?
For the record, my goodwill does not sell by the pound. All items are pre-priced, starting with $2.99 t-shirts. I feel scammed.
And yes, you should totally put your stuff on Etsy!!! I would buy it if its not outrageously overpriced, like some stuff on there tends to be. And if you can make a flirty high-wasted skirt out of a chambray shirt, you are my queen. Size 4 please.
Also, I still own you some money, so please let me know how much.
I just discovered your blog and I’ve been checking back regularly to see what you are up to. Very creative! You’ve given me some great ideas for my thrift store finds. I have a friend with an Etsy shop and she does quite well. I think the key is to promote it – and you already have a blog with a following – I think you’ll do well.
