DIY Shirred Sleeves
A friend of mine was wearing a shirred sleeved sweater last night and immediately I thought about a sweater I had that this would work on. I don’t wear the sweater much due to the way the sleeves hang. I love what a simple stitch has done to this sweater.

This is super simple, all I did was gather the section across from the under seam and sewed a straight stitch up as far as I wanted it to go. This took me maybe 5 minutes. I made sure and doubled back over the seam to make it stronger. Another possibility is to gather on each side. You can also sew a piece of elastic to the sweater and it will automatically gather, which is what I will try next time. I just didn’t have any elastic handy this time.
