Step up to my Front Stoop

I have a very boring and somewhat ugly front stoop, I would call it front porch but its really not a porch, its too small from what I understand a porch is supposed to be so a stoop was the next best choice.

I knew I needed to do something to spruce it up but I couldn't think of anything so I decided to look around the internet and see what inspiration was out there. Below is the photo that caught my eye. I love how they used a little framed black board(well blue board) to welcome visitors and the bench by the door adds such warmth. design*sponge

my stoop does not look nearly as cute as the one above but its an improvement

I am really enjoying using the chalk board paint. It makes everything so fun.  I painted the inside of an old frame with the chalk board paint and then stuck this stool outside with the pumpkin. I love that this stuff was just sitting around my house not being used.
