DIY Easy Kids Aprons

This last weekend I had a lot of time to sew. I spent about 4 hours on Friday night sewing and then all day Saturday sewing. Although I got a lot done, the mess I had to clean up was a bit overwhelming, and if not for that cute, little, non-stop talking, jr higher that I call my daughter, well the mess would probably still be there.

On Saturday night the girls and I went to a double birthday party for my friends daughters. My first thought was, lets go to the store and see what we can find but then I decided that I had the afternoon still so why not make them something. I had this cute cotton pajama shirt that was bright and vivid and just perfect for making two little girls aprons. I decided I would take the front and make a littler apron for my friends younger daughter and use the back for a bigger apron for her oldest daughter.

It was pretty simple. Here is what I did:

I pretty much followed the instructions on eHow How to Make a Children’s Apron. Using one of the sleeves for a ruffle at the bottom of the larger apron.
