Quilted Purse

I threw together this purse in about 2 hours. Its more for spring and summer than for the winter but it was so fun to make.

I had found strips of fabric (probably from a quilt that someone gave up on) at the goodwill and decided that I would buy them hoping to put them together in some way. This purse was the first thing I thought of.

The strips were long enough to go from one side of the purse to the other. I had some scrap jean material that I had bought from Donna and Toots, a store in Portland that sells their scraps. The store makes gorgeous clothes so I love to stop in and see what they are working on. I am hoping to make another one of these purses but much bigger using the same width of strips but many more of them. I will put up photos of the new purse when I make it.
