A Piece Of Cake (DIY: Revamp an old Starbucks apron)

At the Goodwill a few weeks back I found 3 old Starbucks aprons. I bought them thinking I could add some fun pockets and designs to them and give them as gifts. I know so many people who love Starbucks and would be thrilled to receive one, so I started on the project.

On one I have added a large pocket with vintage 60's material, making the piece large enough to sew down the middle to have two pockets.

On another I added some flowers that I cut out of material and sewed around the edge of the flower with a zig zag stitch to give it dimension. This one already had pockets so I made it look like the flowers were coming out of the pockets too.

I haven't finished the third one yet, I'm not sure how I want to finish it.

What do you think? How should I finish it? Leave me a comment on how you think I should finish it and I will give your idea a try.

Great ideas Deanna. Kealy is excited to make gifts for Christmas and I'm looking forward to some jean slippers! I think a Starbuck's apron that a guy could wear would be cool. Maybe some deep brown, coffee colored pockets or something. Check out http://hackalife.com for 25 Budget Christmas Ideas!
